It is worth mentioning though that you might not be able to play with people online as throughout my playtime nobody was ever on the server. The music is also basic enough that you can put your own tunes on if you desire.Īlthough, you can play online or local co-op with up to three players if you need help or want to spread the majestic fairytale of Trine with friends. The music in this game is also really soothing, it never felt old. While twenty levels might not seem underwhelming, it is actually quite overwhelming when you consider the difficulty of each. There are a total of 20 levels (26 including expansion) chock-full of adventure, physics-based puzzles, and enemies. Its difficulty is where the game excels though, as it keeps you coming back for more. Trine 2: Complete Story also feels like an RPG with its leveling system and skill trees for each character. Whether you have to use logs to push bubbles filled with gravity in order to reach the wooden bridges, dodge fire using your instincts while fighting hordes of enemies, or even just avoiding poison gas on the ground. Trine 2 offers some of the most difficult brain-teasing puzzles I’ve seen in gaming to date.
Although, if choosing between the three heroes is a challenge for you, this game allows you to play all three at once (but if choosing a hero is hard then you are in for a rude awakening).
